Original Members Of ELECTRIC WIZARD Leave To Form New Band
May 2, 2003After 10 years in the group, original ELECTRIC WIZARD members Mark Greening (drums & piano) and Tim Bagshaw (bass) have quit the British doom veterans to concentrate on their new project, which they have baptized RAMESSES. Completing the new group — which features Tim on lead guitar — is bassist/vocalist Adam Richardson (ex-SPIRMYARD).
RAMESSES have spent the past few weeks writing original material and are preparing to record their debut demo with a view toward procuring a record deal.
Says Mark: "We want to put out the tracks we are working on really soon — we
are open to offers!!! A few 7 inches would be cool! Eventually, we would like to deal with a label that will enable us to get our cold evil doom/black/death punishing sounds over to as many of you as possible."
"It's great to have the freedom to sound like QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE or SLEEP one minute and BURNING WITCH the next," he added. "But with our track record you can expect some fucked up organic thick atmospheric heavy futuristic drone sounds."
More information will be available soon.
